Hannah Arnold and Nicole Stevens captured the 100 and 400 meters on Friday in the 78th annual Easter Relays, hosted by SBCC at La Playa Stadium.
Santa Barbara posted 10 season bests against a field of top community college and club athletes.
Arnold topped a 25-runner field in the 100 with a PR of 12.32. That ties her for the No. 3 mark in school history with Jessica Escalante (2014). Ryann Rhodeman (13.43), Tasleem Suttles (13.52) and Molly Glassman (13.58) finished 7-8-9, giving the Vaqueros four of the top nine spots.
Stevens, a sophomore from Dos Pueblos High, won the 400 in a season-best 1:02.03.
Arnold and Stevens ran on the 4 x 100 and 4 x 200 relay teams that placed second and third, respectively. Rhodeman and Glassman were also on those relay teams. The Vaqueros clocked a season-best 50.25 in the 4 x 100.
Maya Nelson took fourth in the hammer and javelin and fifth in the shot put. Her hammer toss of 32.72 meters (107 feet, 4 inches) is No. 7 on the Vaqueros' all-time list.
The Vaqueros will compete in the WSC Coastal Meet on April 1 at Cuesta, starting at 1 p.m.
