Carolin Bothe, Madison Blaes and Yuliana Garibay recorded season bests on Saturday, leading SBCC in the Westmont Collegiate Classic women's track and field meet.

Bothe, a freshman from Germany, took seventh in the 1500 in 5:10.34. Garibay was seventh in the 5000 in 19:53.45, dropping seven seconds off her season best. The Westmont Classic featured 571 athletes from 14 colleges and universities, including many from four-year schools.

Blaes posted a season-best 18.31 in the 100 hurdles.

"The women put up some good marks today at Westmont," said ninth-year coach Scott Fickerson. "They competed hard and executed well. I'm proud of the effort they have been putting in."

The Vaqueros return to action on Friday in the WSC Coastal Meet at Cuesta in San Luis Obispo.
