Players and coaches from the SBCC women's volleyball team visited McKinley Elementary School on April 20 for a "Day with the Vaqueros."
According to SBCC academic advisor Michael Gamboa, the football team, track and field squad and volleyball team have visited McKinley and put on demonstrations for the children.
"In the Fall, we partnered with Phi Theta Kappa Honor Society and sent Men's and Women's Soccer to Monroe Elementary School for 'Field Days,' " said Gamboa. "We're doing this to build a lasting relationship with the surrounding community."
Last semester, several Vaquero teams visited Washington Elementary. Gamboa noted.
