Kate Richardson led a balanced attack with seven kills on Friday night and SBCC swept Hancock 25-13, 25-15, 25-16 in a WSC North women's volleyball match in Santa Maria.
The Vaqueros (3-9, 1-1) snapped a five-game losing streak and notched their first WSC victory. The Bulldogs fell to 1-10 and 0-2.
Jacque Ortegon added six kills and six digs for SBCC. Jazz Hill and Jenny Sims contributed four kills apiece and Sims hit .308. Ava Geyer was the dig leader with 12.
The Vaqueros return to WSC North play on Wednesday when they host Cuesta at 6 p.m.
