Grace Trocki had a double-double with 11 kills and 11 digs on Friday night but SBCC came up short in a 3-1 women's volleyball loss at Cuesta. The scores were 25-17, 25-22, 15-25, 25-19.
The Vaqueros (7-12, 3-4) are third in the WSC North, a half-game ahead of Cuesta (9-14, 2-4). Santa Barbara edged the Cougars 3-2 in the first meeting on Oct. 10.
Trocki, a 5-10 sophomore middle blocker from Marin County, hit .313 and had five blocks and three aces. Jacque Ortegon added eight kills with no errors for a .400 hitting percentage.
Kate Richardson and Jazz Hill had six kills apiece and Kenzie Garrison added five kills and 11 digs.
Lexi Michaelson led in digs with 17, one off her season high, and Ashley Albee had 14. Danielle Hewitt had 36 assists and 11 digs.
The Vaqueros will wrap up their season on Wednesday when they host No. 11 Moorpark at 6 p.m.
