Emma Fraser scored four goals and Meagan Mckillican had three on Friday as top-seeded SBCC routed No. 5 Ventura 16-4 in the semifinals of the WSC women's water polo tournament at Citrus College.

Kemi Dijkstra had a goal, three assists and four steals. Lily Riley tied her season high with three steals for the third-ranked Vaqueros, who led 7-1 after a quarter and 13-1 at halftime. SBCC is 25-3 overall and 7-0 in conference.

Kelee Shimizu had two of the Vaqueros' first four goals and Erika Muehring had three assists.

"Kelee played a phenomenal first quarter and game," said coach Chuckie Roth. "Lily Riley gave her best defensive effort and (goalie) Melisa Walk had a terrific second half with seven saves.

"We'll face a well-prepared Citrus team in the final. This group has worked hard and supported each other all year. I'm excited to watch them play for a championship tomorrow."

The Vaqueros will go for their fourth straight WSC title on Saturday when they take on No. 2 seed Citrus in the Owls' pool. Citrus (16-8) beat No. 3 Cuesta 10-3 on Friday.

SBCC defeated Citrus 6-3 in their WSC regular-season meeting on Sept. 27 at Citrus.
