Camille Schutze took 34th in the WSC Championships on Friday to qualify for the Southern Cal Championships on Nov. 6.
The sophomore from Nordhoff High ran 20:32 on the 5K course at Legg Lake in Whittier Narrows Regional Park. Teammate Yuliana Garibay was 50th in 21:31 and Elin Oesterman was 54th in 21:37.
Crystal Morales of Glendale won the race in 18:12.
Glendale was the team champion with 19 points and Canyons was second with 38. The Vaqueros couldn't field a full team due to injuries.
Schutze will run in the Southern Cal meet on Friday, Nov. 6 at Mission Bay in San Diego.
