L.A. Mission scored two goals in the last 10 minutes on Tuesday to upset No. 17 SBCC 3-1 in a WSC North men's soccer game at El Cariso Park in Sylmar.

The Vaqueros fell to 9-4-5 overall and 2-3-4 in conference. They're still in playoff position, ranked No. 14 in the Southern California power points. The Eagles improved to 5-8-7 and 3-2-4.

All the scoring came in the last 30 minutes.

Brian Garmendia gave the home team a 1-0 lead in the 60th minute. Hans Nordin tied it up for the Vaqueros in the 75th. Matthew Ochoa put Mission back on top, 2-1, in the 80th minute and Willie Pocasangre added the clincher in the 90th and final minute.

"It was a game we felt we could win at halftime and we came out positive, only to fall behind on a defensive error," said SBCC coach John Sisterson. "We tied it up, then committed another defensive error to fall behind.

"Our heads dropped and we could never get back in it. It's important that we pick ourselves up and finish conference on a high note and give our utmost best to see if we can achieve a playoff berth, which is still in our hands."

The Vaqueros will play their final WSC game on Friday at Santa Monica with kickoff at 1 p.m.
