SBCC won the last five singles matches on Friday to knock off Fullerton 7-2 on the road.
The Vaqueros (4-2) won their fourth straight match. The Hornets fell to 8-4.
Kyosuke Kiuchi/Taylor Kleine and Pierre Fumat/Arthur Scharff won the No. 2 and 3 doubles sets to give SBCC a 2-1 lead. Kiuchi rallied to take the No. 2 singles, 4-6, 6-4, (10-5 super tiebreaker) and Fumat, Alexander Martin, Scharff and Kleine all posted straight-set wins.
"We played very solid and consistent doubles to take a 2-1 lead," said Vaquero coach Nathan Jackmon. "We are executing on all of the doubles tactics we've been implementing in practice. In singles, everyone played very strong and were super solid. I'm very happy with this victory against a very good team."
The Vaqueros will play their last five regular-season matches at home in the month of March. They'll start the second round of WSC West play on Tuesday when they host unbeaten Ventura (5-0, 2-0) at 2 p.m.
