SBCC toppled Bakersfield 8-1 on Tuesday at Pershing Park for its eighth straight women's tennis victory.

The defending WSC champion Vaqueros (8-1, 6-0) also extended their WSC win streak to 21 straight.

After taking a 3-0 lead in doubles, No. 5 Ashley Allen got the fourth point with a 6-1, 6-0 triumph, then No. 4 Joica Buyse got the winning fifth point with a 1 and 2 victory over Tanya Cedillo.

"Ashley came out dominant and kept up her intensity," said Vaquero coach Christina Klein. "Joica Buyse won to capture our fifth point for the team win. At No. 6, Sydney Paillon lost her first set 5-7 and came back to win the second 6-2 and a close 10-point super breaker, 10-8."
