Bruhin claims WSC 400 title

Shoelle Bruhin won a WSC title on Friday, capturing the 400 meters in the WSC Women's Track & Field Finals at Moorpark College.

She took third in the 200 in a personal-best 25.77. Her 400 time of 58.50 was her second-fastest of the year. She also ran the fastest legs on the 4x100 relay (5th place) and the 4x400 relay (4th place).

Isabella Molony qualified for the Southern Cal Prelims in four events, She was third in the high jump (1.45m, 4-9), fifth in the triple jump (10.04m, 32-11.25) and ran on the 4x100 and 4x400 relay teams.

Elisa Poeyry triple jumped a season-best 10.41m (34-2) to take fourth in the WSC and ninth on SBCC's Top 10 list. Christy Chavira was fifth in the 1500 in a season-best 4:54.34. She also ran second on the 4x400 relay.

Caroline Smith ran a season best 12.81 in the 100 and was the third runner in the 4x100 relay and anchored the 4x400 relay.

The 4x400 relay ran nearly 10 seconds faster than any race this year in 4:11.24. They finished fourth, less than a second from second place (4:10.43).
