LOS ANGELES – The SBCC men's basketball team fell behind by 14 heading into halftime, but would put up a good fight down the stretch before eventually falling 91-86.

The Vaqueros enjoyed their highest scoring output in seven games, getting 20 points (6/8 3FG) out of forward Tommy Condon for the second time this year. Forward Billy Whitting put a season-high 18 points while tallying four rebounds and three assists.

Jaelen Bates was the only starter to score in double-figures with 10 points on a 3-of-5 shooting night. Fellow starting guard Elijah Simpson had seven points on an identical mark from the field.

It was an efficient shooting night for the Vaqueros, who shot 45.6 percent from the field and 44.4 percent (8/18 3FG). LA Pierce was slightly better from the field (47.6%) and knocked down 12 three-pointers on 30 attempts.
