Three Top-8 Finishes Land Vaqueros In Second At WSC #4

SANTA MARIA – For the fourth straight competition, the SBCC men's golf team claimed the second-best team score, earning three top-8 individual finishes at WSC No. 4 at Santa Maria Country Club hosted by Allan Hancock.

Sophomores Caleb Rodriguez and Ryan Gay both led the way for the Vaqueros on the par-72 course. Rodriguez finished just one stroke shy of first place, tying for fourth shooting a 1-under 71. Gay (73) ended up two shots behind him in a tie for sixth.

Murphy Scott carded the lowest score of his freshman season with a 3-over 75 to tie for eighth. Fellow freshmen Jacob Aaron (79) and Henry Havemose (81) finished fourth and fifth on the team respectively, while sophomore Jon Medina (88) rounded out SBCC's lineup.
