OXNARD, CA – The SBCC men's soccer team was held without a goal for the first time in 2022 on Tuesday at Oxnard, seeing its three-game win streak snapped in a 1-0 defeat.

The Vaqueros (8-3-4, 3-2) put five shots on target in the game, but couldn't break down a Condor (12-1-1, 5-0) side that is ranked among the top teams in the state and has now won seven consecutive matches.

Goalkeeper Will Haberfield ended the game with four saves. The only time he would be beat on the day was in the 38th minute, when forward Pablo Orozco assisted a header goal by forward Odin Rosten.

"Tough game away at Oxnard as always, a tough battle between the two and we were very unlucky on the day to not get something out of the game," assistant coach Matt Wilkinson said. "Our boys are very disciplined and organized in the system we play, and it was a shame to lose the game which we felt we could have won."
