Syeed Holtzclaw captured the 600-meter race on Saturday in the Soka Invitational at Aliso Niguel.
The Vaqueros competed against four-year NAIA schools like Westmont, Vanguard and Concordia as well as community colleges like Mt. SAC, Saddleback and West L.A.
Holtzclaw won in a time of 1:22.28, beating Jalen Jenkins of West L.A. by 0.25 of a second.
Brian Nnoli, a freshman from San Marcos High, was second in the triple jump (13.95m, 45-9¼) and landed in the 10th spot on SBCC's all-time list.
Ethan Westemeier was third in the triple jump (13.42m) and Miguel Lozano posted a personal best of 10.10m (33-1¾) in the shot put.
The Vaqueros took second in the 4 x 400 relay in 3:30.38 with a team of Holtzclaw, Austin Venezia, Nnoli and Kaio Farkouh.
Santa Barbara will compete in the WSC Relays on Friday at Bakersfield College.
