MISSION VIEJO – SBCC men's track and field freshman Ryan Gregory moved up one spot on the podium on day two of the 2023 CCCAA SoCal Regional Multi Championships, finishing in second place overall with a score of 6,577.
As the Vaqueros' lone representative in the decathlon at the two-day competition, Gregory was one of the stars of the show.
After posting the third-best score of 3,401 on Tuesday, the Owatonna, Minn. native quickly made up a ton of ground on Wednesday. He leapfrogged Orange Coast's Cayden Loth (6,083) and finished narrowly behind San Diego Mesa's Jeramiah Havens (6,618) for first place.
