SAN JACINTO, CA – Facing Eagle Crossover host Mt. San Jacinto, the SBCC women's basketball team got out to a great start, but couldn't maintain it down the stretch in a 58-51 defeat.

The Vaqueros (4-4) got a big 20-point, seven-rebound performance from Isabella Jensen Williams, who finished just one point shy of a career-high. The sophomore knocked down her only three of the game midway through the second quarter, giving SBCC its largest lead of the game 31-17 as it looked to hand the Eagles (6-1) just their second loss of the season.

From that point on though, it was all Mt. San Jacinto. The Eagles closed the half on a 13-0 run and extended it to 19 unanswered in the opening minutes of the third.

Jensen Williams hit a pair of jumpers to begin the fourth quarter and point guar Brianna Jacobs scored on back-to-back possessions to help keep the Vaqueros in striking distance, but the Eagles had an answer every time as they fended off SBCC's late comeback effort.

Jacobs finished with eight points while Rodriguez (11 points) put in her first double-digit outing of the year and her fifth as a Vaquero.
