SANTA BARBARA, CA – The SBCC women's basketball team extended to a four-game win streak on Saturday against Cuesta, defeating the Cougars for the second time in a week 74-52.

The Vaqueros (12-9, 5-2) pounced on the Cougars (9-14, 2-5) from the outset, catching fire in the first to take a 21-6 lead through 10 minutes. Center Paityn Persson led the charge with six points hitting all three of her shots as four Vaqueros scored at least four points.

Santa Barbara outscored Cuesta in each of the next two periods as well. Guard Eva Carrejo (18 points) caught fire from the outside as she has on several occasions this year, knocking down 6-of-8 threes, one shy of a career-high and easily her most efficient marks of the year.

Isabella Jensen Williams notched another double-double with 13 points (6/11 FG) and 10 boards to go with five assists. Guard Kiani Rojas matched her with 13 points (5/8 FG), her second straight season-high in scoring. Persson rounded out SBCC's double-digit scorers with 10 to go with seven rebounds.
