Jensen Williams and Jacobs Named All-Conference

SANTA BARBARA – SBCC women's basketball guards Isabella Jensen Williams and Brianna Jacobs have both been named to the 2022-23 Western State Conference North Division All-Conference Team.

2022-23 WSC-North All-Conference Team

Jensen Williams shined in an increased role as one of the team's lead ball handlers this season, earning her second straight All-Conference selection. She is in the midst of a stellar sophomore campaign where she has posted career-highs across the board and ranks top-four in the conference in a number of categories.

The Berkeley native currently sits fourth in the WSC-North in both points (14.3) and rebounds (8.6), is second in assists (3.9) and steals (3.0) and 10th in blocks (0.4). She also considerably improved her offensive efficiency this season, seeing her go over 20 points eight times including a 37-point outburst against Cuesta. A couple weeks after that, she recorded a 26-point, 12-rebound, 10-assist triple-double in a close win over Monterey Peninsula.

Jacobs earns her first All-WSC nod as SBCC's second-leading scorer at 9.3 points per game. A reliable ball handler and three-point shooter, the San Diego native is eighth in the conference in three-pointers made (36), knocking down 1.4 per game. She is also the team's top free throw shooter at 78.4 percent.

Her calmness and consistency on both ends of the floor has been a huge boost this year as she has started in all but two games. She had a career-best run of five straight games scoring in double-figures in December and set a new all-time high with 20 in a win at LA Pierce on Jan. 11, her second straight game knocking down four threes.

Following their regular season finale win at Oxnard this past Friday, the Vaqueros are in the postseason for the second time in the last three seasons. They are set for a SoCal Regional First Round matchup this Wednesday at 5:30 p.m. at Mt. San Jacinto.
