SANTA BARBARA, CA – Forward Theresa English scored in the 17th minute of the SBCC women's soccer team's SoCal Regional Second Round matchup with Southwestern on Saturday at La Playa Stadium, giving the Vaqueros a 1-0 win.
The WSC champions (12-3-6) advance to the SoCal Regional Semifinals for the fourth time in the last five years.
The goal was English's sixth of the year, one shy of the team-lead. She has now scored in back-to-back games for the first time this season. Midfielder Hannah McLain was credited with her second assist of the year.
The Vaqueros put seven shots on target on the night. Up next will be the regional semifinals at Santiago Canyon on Tuesday, Nov. 22.
