As the 2023 soccer season approaches, Alexander Zermeno, SBCC's visionary head coach, has meticulously curated a coaching lineup that perfectly fuses experience, the rich heritage of the Vaqueros, and impassioned expertise.

For the women's side, the line-up is as impressive as it is diverse:

**Jaime Alvarado**
Emerging from the esteemed Cal Lutheran University, Alvarado brings with him six invaluable years as an assistant coach. Beyond his tenure at Cal Lutheran, he has dedicated a decade coaching both at the reputable Eagles soccer club and Agoura High School. 2023 saw him rightfully crowned as the Marmonte League Coach of the Year. Notably, before his coaching days, Alvarado showcased his skills on the field playing collegiately at both Oxnard Community College and Cal Lutheran. His academic prowess is evident with a Bachelor's degree in Exercise Science, emphasizing Human Performance, from Cal Lutheran. Coach Zermeno warmly remarked, "Jaime's unparalleled experience and academic grounding will undoubtedly be instrumental this season."

**Giselle Estrada**
A vaquero alumna, Estrada beautifully transitioned from her stellar performances between 2015 and 2018 at SBCC to play at the University of Antelope Valley. She received her bachelor degree in Crimal Justice and Masters in Education at UAV. Entrusted with mentoring the midfielders and forwards, Zermeno's faith in her is evident: "Upon my appointment, Giselle was the first call I made. Her firsthand experience as a Vaquero makes her an ideal coach, allowing her to foster genuine connections and inspire players with her leadership."

**Adrian Gonzalez**
A pivotal part of the Vaqueros' 2021 squad, Gonzalez was renowned for guarding the goalposts with unwavering dedication. Having honed his coaching skills as an assistant at Carpinteria High, he is poised to nurture the goalkeepers of SBCC. Gonzalez's commitment to academia is laudable as he pursues his Bachelor's degree in Exercise Science at Cal Lutheran. A buoyant Zermeno commented, "Adrian embodies the spirit of dedication and relentless learning. His goalkeeping acumen, backed by elite mentors in the sport, is a significant asset to us."

As SBCC gears up for the season, it's evident that with such a formidable coaching ensemble in place, the Vaqueros are on track for a season that promises growth, challenge, and success. The synergy of seasoned coaches and those ingrained with SBCC's traditions promises a holistic development environment for every player donning the Vaquero jersey.
