LOS ANGELES, Calif. – The No. 10 SBCC women's volleyball team made it six wins out of its last seven outings on Wednesday at LA Pierce, downing the Bulls 25-13, 25-14, 25-18.

The Vaqueros (20-4 overall, 7-2 WSC) needed just 24 matches to reach the 20-win mark, doing so for the first time since 2016.

"Everyone contributed to tonight's win," head coach Kat Niksto said. "Sophie Ward set a nice offense, really spreading the ball around to all her hitters. Megan Harrington came into the match and was solid passing and playing all-around. Bella Johnson led the team in kills with nine, while Jacelin Mckie led the defense with 12 digs."

Santa Barbara closed out its season-series with LA Pierce winning all six sets. The Vaqueros hit at .253 clip as a team, good for their most efficient attacking night over their last five contests.

Ward had a team-high 22 assists and fellow setter Emma Crabbe had 10 to go along with two aces.

Middle blocker Paige Rudi finished with six of the Vaqueros' 15 aces, two shy of a personal-high. Defensive specialist Jordyn Anderson added four of her own as SBCC averaged a season-best five aces per set for the second time this year.

This Friday, the Vaqueros will be home to face LA Mission at 6:00 p.m. on Sophomore Night. Their opponent for Tuesday's Conference Crossover has been set as well. They will face Santa Monica at home at 6:00 p.m. on Nov. 16.
