SANTA BARBARA, CA – The Vaquero women's volleyball sophomores were honored at the SBCC Sports Pavilion on Wednesday, a night where SBCC swept LA Pierce for the second time this season, 25-10, 25-19, 25-18.

With the exception of setter Emma Crabbe, who sat out due to an injury, all of SBCC's (13-10, 7-3) sophomores contributed on the court. Opposite Caroline McCarty matched freshman Callie Rule for a team-high 10 kills, with McCarty also hitting at a match-best .600 clip.

Jordyn Anderson provided the Vaqueros with strong serving, passing a 2.0 in serve receive, while fellow defensive specialist Stephanie Arriaga had a solid performance both in the serve game and on the defensive end.

Outside hitter Piper Ellbogn-Pettersen finished with six kills and nine digs. Libero Jacelin McKie added six digs and an ace.

Santa Barbara will host Santa Monica on Tuesday, Nov. 15 in the WSC Crossover Match.
