Diego began his career at SBCC in the Fall of 2014 and joined the Women's Basketball program for the 2019-20 season.
Diego has previously held several positions in the fitness industry including Assistant Strength & Conditioning coach at Pierce College, Fitness trainer, Assistant Fitness Manager and Fitness Manager at 24 Hour Fitness, Fitness 19 and had his own personal training business. Diego is experienced in endurance training, resistance training, Olympic weightlifting, Power-lifting, stability and mobility training.
He also currently works with the Men's Basketball program and at SBCC's Life Fitness Center, managing day-to-day operations, working with students, faculty and staff with Online Education platforms, Human Performance Lab testing, exercise demonstration and program design.
Diego earned a Bachelor of Science in Kinesiology from California State University Northridge in 2012 and a Master of Science in Kinesiology from California Baptist University in 2019. He also holds certifications from the National Academy of Sports Medicine (NASM) and the National Strength and Conditioning Association (NSCA). In his free time Diego loves hanging out with his Familia, especially with his wife, their two children, and two dogs.
