SBCC has been seeded No. 1 for the 18-team Southern Cal Regional women's volleyball playoffs, which start on Saturday with a pair of play-in games.
The Vaqueros (23-3) received their first No. 1 seed ever after securing their fourth straight WSC North title on Wednesday with a 3-0 sweep over L.A. Mission. SBCC has won four straight matches and 14 of the last 15.

L.A. Pierce (26-1), which shared the WSC title with the Vaqueros at 11-1, was seeded second, followed by No. 3 El Camino and No. 4 Canyons.
The Vaqueros will host No. 16 Mt. San Antonio (18-5) in a first-round playoff game on Tuesday at 7 p.m. The Mounties swept Pasadena 3-0 in a Regional play-in game on Saturday night. Mt. SAC was the runner-up in the South Coast Conference at 12-2.
"I would have been fine being the 1 or 2 seed," said SBCC coach Ed Gover. "I like the fact that we would be home for all three rounds of the Regional."
After being ranked No. 2 in the state for most of the regular season, the Vaqueros moved up to No. 1 in the final poll released on Friday. They share the top spot with L.A. Pierce. Cabrillo (23-1) and Foothill (25-10), the top two seeds in the Northern Cal Regional, share the No. 3 ranking.
