Bio

High School: Attended Bishop O’Dowd High where she swam for Neal Hamilton and Mike Laase. Was MVP her senior year and won coaches award for the season, as well as being voted team captain. Awarded best offensive her junior year. Sophomore year was Nicole’s first year playing water polo and she was immediately moved up to varsity. Played club with Diablo Water Polo for Maureen O’Toole, an Olympic water polo player who led the U.S team to a silver medal in 2000.

Personal: Nicole Frances Cosares was born on May 6, 1997 in New Brunswick, New Jersey. She hasn't decided on a major but is strongly leaning toward criminal justice/criminology and minoring in psychology. Her dream would be to play water polo at Cal Berkeley. She enjoys running, playing basketball and soccer in her free time.

SBCC’s Addison Seale has been named WSC Player of the Year and All-American in women’s water polo. Five Vaqueros received All-American honors and 10 were named to the All-WSC team.

The top-ranked Vaqueros, who started their team 3 years ago, have won 3 straight WSC titles and earned their first Southern Cal championship with a 10-7 win over Riverside.

SBCC won two games on Thursday to advance to the championship game in the WSC Women’s Water Polo Tournament at Cuesta in San Luis Obispo. The top-seeded Vaqueros beat No. 8 Santa Monica 11-4 and No. 5 Citrus 21-7.

SBCC built an 8-3 halftime lead on Friday afternoon on the way to a 9-4 women's water polo victory over Golden West in a battle of undefeated teams at the Cuesta Rabobank Tournament.

SBCC posted two more wins on Saturday in the Mt. SAC Classic women’s water polo tourney, extending the best start in school history to 10-0. The Vaqueros went 4-0 in the two-day, round robin event in Walnut.

Halie Johnson and Kendra Carr scored nine goals apiece in two games on Friday as SBCC opened its women’s water polo season with a pair of routs in the Central Coast Invitational at Cuesta College. The Vaqueros (2-0) beat Fresno City 15-3 and Diablo Valley 14-2.
