SBCC Crossover set for this weekend; All games will be live streamed

The women's basketball team will make its home debut this weekend in the SBCC Crossover and all four games will live streamed by the Vaquero Broadcasting Network.

Moorpark (0-1) and Fullerton (0-0) will open the two-day tourney on Friday at 5 p.m., followed by the Vaqueros (0-2) vs. San Diego City (0-2). Saturday's schedule starts with Moorpark and San Diego at 3 p.m., followed by SBCC vs. Fullerton at 5 p.m.

Kay Phosakham leads SBCC at 10.5 points per game, followed by Jeanie Pattison (9.5), Jocelyn Petatan (8.5) and Destinee King (8.0). King is the rebound leader at 6.0 and Pattison is pulling down 4.5.

Santa Barbara has 14 freshmen on its 18-player roster and surrendered leads in the fourth quarter of its first two games.

There are new rules in the women's college game this year with four 10-minute quarters instead of two halves and no more 1-and-1 free throws. Other new rules are two free throws on every foul after the fifth team foul of each quarter, longer timeouts and the ability to advance the ball to midcourt following a timeout in the final minute.

The VBN will broadcast all four games live with Ryan Graff, Steven Wellbrock and Ryan Riffenburgh covering the tournament. The cost is $12.95 for a single game and Vaquero fans can buy the women's basketball season package for $21.95.
