High School: Attended Royal High and swam varsity for three years. Her favorite stroke is freestyle, so any event that is short-coursed and involves that stroke, is her favorite. Her fastest 50 free time was 26.40 her senior year. Swimming is a huge part of her other sport, water polo. She played goalie on the 2015 Royal squad that won the CIF Div. 4 water polo title on Feb. 28 in Irvine.

2015: Mackenzie had a monster freshman season in goal for the Vaquero Women’s Water Polo team. She was named Captain, Most Valuable Player of the team and Player of the Year in the Western State Conference. In addition, she received 1st Team All-Southern Cal and All-American honors.

Coach Chuckie Roth: "Mackenzie is the most polite athlete I have ever coached. Her character is a role model for other athletes to follow. I am excited to see her grow this swim season and take her confidence into the 2016 water polo season."

Personal: Mackenzie was born on December 5, 1996 in Palmdale, Calif. Shortly after her birth, she moved to Simi Valley. She has always had a passion for old cars, wanting to know every little detail about them. In 6th grade, she began playing water polo and fell in love with the sport. Before tournaments, she has her music blasting to focus and get her mind in the game. She is adventurous and enjoys seeing what the world has in store for her. In her free time, she loves to surf and skateboard. She is also a strong believer that hard work will pay off in the end.
