August 2014-May 2015: Attended Cal State San Marcos after graduating high school in 2014 to pursue her dream career in nursing.

High School: Participated in water polo and swim for four years at Cabrillo High. She was a three-year letterman for water polo and two-year letterman for the swim team. Received scholar-athlete award, CIF Academic Champions, MVP All-League, Defensive MVP two years in a row, CIF third-team and 2014 team captain. In academics, she was on the dean’s list throughout high school, received student of the month in ROP Economics, was involved in the Red Cross and medical interest club, and took on AP courses.

Personal: Demi Christine Ames was born on July 12, 1996 in Lompoc, Calif. Growing up, she was involved in many extracurricular activities including club soccer, club swim softball and basketball. She was a lifeguard for two years at the Lompoc Aquatic Center and then resigned when she took off for college. In her spare time, she volunteered at Santa Barbara Cottage Hospital and Goleta Valley Cottage Hospital in the Oncology and ICU department. After attending SBCC for a year, she plans on transferring to a university to continue her goal of becoming a nurse to specialize in Oncology.
