
SBCC held its annual football banquet on Monday, Dec. 5 at the Endless Summer Bar & Café.
The Vaqueros went 7-4 and finished second in the American Pacific League with a 3-2 mark. They set 12 school records and hosted a bowl game (the Beach Bowl) for the first time in 33 years.
Running back Cedric Cooper (795 yards, 6.2 average, 11 TDs) was named Offensive MVP for the second time. He also won the award in 2014. Thomas Lash, a 6-3 sophomore linebacker from Bishop Diego High, was the Defensive MVP with 67 tackles (10 for loss) and two interceptions.
Isaac McClain, a two-time All-State pick at offensive tackle, was the Lineman MVP.
