Cypress shot 70, 71 and 72 on Wednesday to capture the Eagle Classic at Soboba Springs GC in San Jacinto.
Matt Wotherspoon was the medalist at 70, Luke Bartram shot 71 and Juan Quisaboni added an even-par 72. Mt. San Jacinto hosted the 16-team tourney.
Cypress won the team title with 367 strokes, eight better than Reedley. Mt. SAC (378) was three shots back in third and one better than fourth-place finisher, College of the Desert (379).
Igor Haenel, a sophomore from Austria, led SBCC, tying his career low with a 73 that earned him a ninth-place tie. The Vaqueros had four players in the 70s and shot 388 to also finish ninth. Isaac Stone and Matt Pate fashioned 78s and Preston Gomersall shot 79.
The Vaqueros (31-15) will host WSC No. 3 on Monday at the Alisal Ranch in Solvang with a shotgun start at 11:30 a.m.
