OXNARD, Calif. – The SBCC men's soccer team was handed its first loff in nearly a month on Friday at Oxnard, as the Condors scored a late goal to take a 2-1 win.

After Oxnard (7-2-3, 2-0) opened the scoring in the 58th minute, the Vaqueros (7-3-2, 1-1) got a goal from freshman midfielder Lukas Lovgren in the 65th to tie things at 1-1.

That made it back-to-back scoring efforts for the Sonora, CA native, who had put away his first goal of the season just three days prior in a 4-1 win at Allan Hancock. Freshman midfielder Jake Dunn earned his first assist of the year.

Unfortunately for the Vaqueros, the deadlock would be broken in the 84th minute, when Oxnard's Angel Herrera scored the game-winning goal.

Freshman goalkeeper Adrian Gonzalez finished with five saves, two shy of a season-high.

Following two straight on the road, the Vaqueros will be back home for their next contest against Moorpark next Tuesday, Oct. 19 at 7:00 p.m.
