Santa Barbara City College men's soccer team lost to The Rio Hondo RoadRunners on Friday, Sept. 27.
After a tough battle, the final score came to 1-0, with the Vaqueros falling to the RoadRunners.
"This was a tough loss for us, we had plenty of chances but at the end of the day we couldn't get it in the back of the net," Head Coach Alex Zermero said.
Throughout the game, SBCC had 3 total shots on the goal, with none of them making it in. Though the Vaqueros ultimately lost, Angel DIaz, Xavier Worthy, and Leo Rubio all had standout performances.
This brings the men's soccer team's overall standing to 3-5, with two ties. They will play again on Tuesday, Oct. 15 against Allan Hancock.
"We have 2 weeks till our next game, which is a conference game," Zermero said. "We will use this time to regroup and prep for the conference."
