Ryan Gregory takes 2nd in javelin as part of CCCAA decathlon state championship

SBCC Track & Field sent 2 athletes to the CCCAA Championships at Modesto Junior College on Friday May 19 and Saturday May 20. Both athletes represented the Vaqueros with courage and honor and returned to campus as All-Americans. Freshman Ryan Gregory competed in the decathlon where he improved from a Day 1 6th place finish to 3rd place by the end of the competition on Saturday. Gregory was the top freshman in the competition and finished with 6457 points. Gregory had the top marks in the decathlon in both the 400m and the 110 hurdles running 50.94 and 15.56 respectively. He had the 2nd best javelin mark of the competition throwing 45.48m.
