FULLERTON – The SBCC men's volleyball team went the distance for the third time this year in a back-and-forth match at Fullerton, but came up just short in the decisive fifth set, falling 25-23, 15-25, 28-26, 25-17, 16-14.

The Vaqueros (3-6, 1-3) were led once again by opposite Kevin Vonyokes, who posted 14 kills, four blocks and a season-high seven digs. It was his second time in a row reaching double-figures and the fifth time this season.

Nate Rogers was outstanding at libero, going for a season-best 23 digs and serving up one ace. Setter Carter Cottrell was also active on defense, registering 10 digs and a team-high 26 assists for his second double-double of the year.
