MOORPARK, Calif. – Santa Barbara City College men's volleyball secured a pair of victories on Friday, defeating Palomar and Grossmont College to even their record at 4-4.
In the 10 a.m. match against Palomar, the Vaqueros delivered a strong team performance, highlighted by Rocky Brazier, who recorded three aces and 42 assists. Mykolas Petraitis led the attack with 17 kills, while Charlie Coordt added 11 kills. Defensively, Gabe Stopani and Tom Altankhuyag each contributed seven digs in the four-set victory.
Facing Grossmont College at 1 p.m., James Walker-Ziegler dominated with 10 aces, seven kills, and six digs, while Henry Carlin tallied 13 assists. Brazier continued his stellar play, adding 18 more assists to his total on the day. Ty Reedy finished with eight kills, and Keegan Hubbard was a perfect 5-for-5 on kill attempts.
The Vaqueros return home on Tuesday at 6 p.m., hosting their next match at the Sports Pavilion
