Looking ahead to the beginning of the 2024-2025 season, the Vaqueros are aiming for not only a Conference Title, but a spot at SoCal Regionals.

Returners Kimberly Luby and Daniella Arce have both improved their game from last season, looking to be in the second, third, or fourth spot on the team.

Luby and Arce will be filling the shoes of Emily Ruiz and Meghan Duncan, top performers from last year's team. They are expected to score in the mid to low 80s, and will be a vital part of this season.

Four newcomers will round out this year's Women's Golf team, all showing immense skill on the green.

Annie Betts comes from an elite golf career at Gull Lake High School in Richland, Michigan. Betts qualified for the State Championship as a freshman, and continued to compete in high level competitions throughout her high school career. She will be taking the first spot on the team, shooting under par during pre season practice rounds.

Mylie Pavelis will be looking for a third, fourth, or fifth spot on the team. Pavelis is coming from Mountain Vista High School in Highlands Ranch, Colorado. She played three years on varsity, and is hoping to be in the low 70s during her first season as a Vaquero.

Kirra Petty is the only newcomer who is local to California, coming from Mira Costa High School in Manhattan Beach. Petty will also be looking for a third, fourth, or fifth spot on the team and will be aiming to be in the low 70s.

Head Coach Devin Engebretsen believes this team will make waves in the conference, and is hoping to go far this season.

Come out and support SBCC Women's Golf at their first home match of the season at 6 p.m on Monday, September 9th.
