Santa Barbara City College's women's golf team took home second place at their second tournament of the season.

Moorpark College finished first with a score of 321, the Vaqueros finished with a final score of 332, and College of the Canyons finished third with a score of 334.

Freshman Annie Betts finished with the lowest score of the day, 70. Freshman Kirra Petty finished with the second lowest score for sbcc, 85. Kimberly Luby came in with the third lowest score for SBCC, 86.

"Annie Betts played great shooting 2 under par, including an amazing eagle chip in on #7. Coach Devin Engebretsen said. "Kirra Petty had her best scoring round in competition with an 85.  Once we get all our players to shoot what they are capable of, the sky's the limit for this group."

Coach Engebresten believes that with some minor adjustments, the team can move towards winning a WSC tournament.

Women's Golf will compete next at 11 a.m on Monday, Sept. 16 at Sterling Hills Golf Course.
