By Anika Brodnansky

Santa Barbara City College Women's Golf finished second in the WSC #4 tournament on Monday, Sept. 23 at Knollwood Golf and Country Club, hosted by College of the Canyons.

With a similar line up as the past three tournaments, Moorpark college finished first with a score of 324, the Vaqueros finished with a score of 335, and College of the Canyons finished third with a score of 358.

"Another solid showing by our golfers," Head Coach Devin Engebretsen said. "Only 11 shots back from winning the event, we are working with them to understand that's really only 3 shots each from the 4 golfers who score to make up the 11 shot differential."

Annie Betts came in with the lowest score for the Vaqueros, and the second lowest score of the tournament, 76.  Kimberly Luby and Kirra Petty tied for the second lowest score for SBCC, with 86.

The Vaqueros will play again at 11 a.m on Monday, September 30 at Rancho Vist GC, hosted by Antelope Valley College.
