Santa Barbara City College women's golf finished second in a tournament on Oct.14., with a team score of 333.
This tournament consisted of 6 other community colleges: Bakersfield College, Moorpark College, Citrus College, Allan Hancock, College of the Canyons, and Antelope Valley College.
Moorpark College finished first with a score of 323, College of the Canyons finished third with a score of 391, and Allan Hancock finished fourth with a score of 404.
"One more 2nd place finish, still trying to get over that hump and win the team medal. Kimberly Luby had a very solid day, shooting one over on the back 9," Head coach Devin Engebresten said.
Annie Betts finished with the second lowest score of the game, 75, and was only two points away from being the lowest scorer of the day.
Kimberly Luby came in with the second lowest score for City College, 82. Kirra Petty and Ella Arce finished the tournament with a score of 88, and Mylie Pavelis finished with a score of 95.
"I feel like we are improving at the right time, with the Conference finals right around the corner," Engebresten said.
Women's golf will move to the Conference finals on Oct. 27.
