Vaqueros post 15 All-American times

SBCC produced 15 All-American times in women's swimming this year, including all five relays. All-American status is given to the top 16 times in the California Community College Athletic Association (CCCAA).

Rachelle Visser, who won the first two State titles for the Vaqueros in the 200 IM and 400 IM, led the way with three individual All-American marks and was on all five relays. She was first in California in the 200 IM (2:07.43) and 400 IM (4:31.78) and No. 4 in the 200 butterfly (2:11.29).

Visser swam anchor on five relays that earned All-American honors. The top one was the 400 free relay of Alaina Chela, Katherine Warren, Ashley Macedo and Visser that was seventh in 3:40.83. The 800 free relay (Warren, Madelyn Brooks, Chela, Visser) was No. 8 in 8:08.78.

Visser has six All-American times the last two years and owns 14 school records (9 individual, 5 relay). SBCC went 33-4 this year and won the WSC title in its second season of women's swimming. The Vaqueros finished eighth in the state this year and 12th in their first campaign.

Warren and Chela also had three All-American times. Warren was No. 3 in the 1650 freestyle, (18:02.41), No. 6 in the 400 IM (4:48.30) and No. 7 in the 500 free. Chela posted the No. 7 time in the 200 butterfly (2:14.53), No. 11 in the 100 fly (59.36) and No. 12 in the 200 IM.

Autumn Lovett was No. 13 in the 200 backstroke in 2:17.43.
