Addison Seale won the 200 IM, took third in the 100 breast and swam on two victorious relay teams, guiding SBCC to the top after the first day of the Pasadena Invitational women's swimming and diving meet.

Seale, a sophomore from La Jolla, won the 200 IM in 2:17.26, placed third in the 100 breaststroke in 1:13.37 and swam on the winning 200 free relay and 800 free relay teams.

The Vaqueros totaled 406 points and took an 87-point lead over Diablo Valley (319) in the 18-school competition. Orange Coast is third at 270 and Pasadena and Mt. SAC are tied for fourth at 170.

Alex Humann had a busy day, taking fourth in the 100 butterfly (1:04.31), fifth in the 200 free (2:02.75), fifth in the 500 free (5:27.85) and eighth in the 50 free (26.37). She also swam on all three relays, getting first in the 200 and 800 free relays and third in the 400 medley relay.

Reese Ellestad was fourth in the 50 free (25.47) and Mackenzie Richards was sixth in the 50 free (26.04) and seventh in the 200 back (2:26.47).

SBCC also got lots of points from the 1- and 3-meter diving where Gina Jacobson and Ashley Dettmann went 1-2 in both events on Thursday.

This is the fourth season for the Vaquero swimmers. In the last three years, they've finished sixth, fourth and second at the Pasadena Invitational. They'll go for their first title on Saturday, starting at 9 a.m.
