LOS ANGELES – The SBCC women's swim team took first place at the WSC #1 meet hosted by LA Valley on Thursday with a team score of 79.5.

All the Vaqueros contributed to the win with several standout performances, including Ensley Letterman winning the 100 Freestyle (57.94s) and helping lead the 200 Medley Relay (2:00.91) and 200 Free Relay (1:48.43) teams to first place finishes.
Letterman anchored Santa Barbara to a win in the 200 Medley by less than half a second and the team won the 200 Free Relay by just under 14 seconds. Chloe McKay took part in both of the relay wins while also finishing first in the 100 Backstroke with a time of 1:12.46.
Alexis Persoon also contributed to both relay wins alongside McKay and Letterman, while Elina Borghoff swam second in the 200 Medley Relay and Marilyn Weaver went last in the 200 Freestyle Relay.
Allison Kay also showed leadership and tenacity placing second in the 1000 Free (12:47.84) and sixth in the 200 IM (2:44.20).
