Santa Barbara City College's women's tennis team continued their fantastic season, topping Ventura College, 6-3, on the strength of a sweep of all three doubles matches.
The Vaqueros are now 10-2 overall and 8-1 in conference play.
Katelyn Peyvandi got the Vaqueros started by winning at first singles over Lea Meschke, 6-3, 3-6, 6-1.
Pia Valtierra and Hanna Pesniak also won singles matches for SBCC.
In doubles play, Peyvandi and Gabrielle Goss won an exciting match at first doubles. The duo was up 7-2 before Alyssa Power and Allie DeMarco rallied for Ventura (7-6, 4-4 WSC North) to make the score 7-6. Goss and Peyvandi were able to hang on for the 8-6 win.
The Vaqueros are back in action Friday when they take on Orange Coast College.
