Shoelle Bruhin ran a personal-best 58.22 to take third in the 400 and a season-best 26.28 for sixth in the 200 on Saturday in the Westmont Collegiate Classic.
The meet featured six teams, including four-year schools Wesmont and George Fox of Oregon, which brought about 80 athletes.
Christy Chavira notched a pair of season bests, taking fourth in the 1500 in just under five minutes (4:59.78) and fifth in the 800 (2:32.63). Caroline Smith had a season best of more than a second in the 200 (26.98) and helped the 4x400 team beat their season best by over five seconds in a time of 4:26.29.
"That was our best meet of the year and the majority of our athletes achieved seasonal bests," said coach Scott Santella.
The Vaqueros will compete in the WSC Coastal Meet on Friday at Cuesta College in San Luis Obispo.
