Gabi Brewer was selected to the first-team All-WSC North women's volleyball squad. Madi Mullins was second team and Lauren Holsted made honorable mention.
Brewer, a 5-11 freshman left-hander from San Diego, was fourth with 88 kills in 10 conference matches. She was second in aces with 19. Brewer turned in her best performance of the year in a 3-2 win over L.A. Mission on Oct. 23 when she had 15 kills and 13 digs.
Mullins, a 6-foot middle blocker from Tustin, was third in kills (94), fifth in blocks (17) and sixth in hitting percentage (.240). Holsted was sixth in conference digs with 110.
After a 1-7 start under first-year coach Kat Niksto, the Vaqueros went 7-7 the rest of the way to finish 8-14 overall and 4-6 in conference.
The Vaqueros held their team banquet on Tuesday, Dec. 3. Brewer was the MVP and Holsted received the Coaches Award.
