SANTA BARBARA, CA – The Vaquero women's volleyball sophomores were honored at the SBCC Sports Pavilion on Wednesday, a night where SBCC swept LA Pierce for the second time this season, 25-10, 25-19, 25-18.
With the exception of setter Emma Crabbe, who sat out due to an injury, all of SBCC's (13-10, 7-3) sophomores contributed on the court. Opposite Caroline McCarty matched freshman Callie Rule for a team-high 10 kills, with McCarty also hitting at a match-best .600 clip.
Jordyn Anderson provided the Vaqueros with strong serving, passing a 2.0 in serve receive, while fellow defensive specialist Stephanie Arriaga had a solid performance both in the serve game and on the defensive end.
Outside hitter Piper Ellbogn-Pettersen finished with six kills and nine digs. Libero Jacelin McKie added six digs and an ace.
