Calderon gets two goals in 3-3 tie at Canyons
Carlos Archila Calderon scored two goals on Tuesday night but SBCC gave up a late goal in a 3-3 men’s soccer tie at College of the Canyons.

Carlos Archila Calderon scored two goals on Tuesday night but SBCC gave up a late goal in a 3-3 men's soccer tie at College of the Canyons.
The Vaqueros are 5-1-1 overall and 1-0-1 in WSC action. The Cougars are 0-4-2 and 0-2-1.
Nicolas Genthon tallied his fifth goal of the year in the eighth minute when Hadyn Dickinson's header was saved and Genthon scored on a tap-in. Calderon made it 2-0 just four minutes later with a 20-yard shot into the bottom left corner.
Canyons, which had been blanked its previous three games, scored in the 18th and 25th minutes to tie it 2-2 at the half.
Kebba Nyang was fouled in the box in the 66th minute and Calderon converted the penalty kick for his fifth goal and a 3-2 Vaquero lead. Kaonnye Opaza scored in the 79th minute on an assist from Luis Arriaga to knot the score at 3-3.
SBCC outshot the Cougars 19-7, including 10-4 in shots on goal.
SBCC travels to first-place Oxnard (5-1-1, 3-0) on Friday for a 4 p.m. contest.
