LOS ANGELES – The SBCC men's volleyball team picked up its first three-set win of the year on Friday at LA Pierce, taking all three by at least five points, 25-19, 25-10, 25-20.

It was a monster day for opposite Kevin Vonyokes, who averaged an incredible 5.7 kills per set on a season-best .583 hitting percentage. He also finished with five digs and a block.

Libero Nate Rogers went for a match-high eight digs and middle blocker Andre Doty led the way with three blocks to go with three digs and three kills.

Outside hitter Payton Miller was second on the team with six kills (.250). Setters Carter Cottrell (21 assists) and Toby Still (12) both went for double-figures.

The 15-point win in set two was the largest disparity the Vaqueros have enjoyed this year. It was the first time they won a set by double-digits.
