    Gabi Brewer was selected to the first-team All-WSC North women’s volleyball squad. Madi Mullins was second team and Lauren Holsted made honorable mention.

    Gabi Brewer and Madi Mullins recorded 11 kills apiece on Friday but it wasn’t enough to prevent Ventura from posting a 3-0 sweep in the season finale at Ventura. The scores were 25-22, 25-18, 25-18.
  • No. 12 Moorpark downs Vaqueros 3-0

    Moorpark dominated the first two sets in Friday night’s women’s volleyball home finale, then weathered a stirring comeback by SBCC to finish off a 3-0 sweep at the Sports Pavilion. The scores were 25-15, 25-17, 25-22.

  • Vaqueros battle hard in season-opening setbacks

    SBCC had just seven players available for Saturday’s season-opening Bakersfield Quad women’s volleyball tournament and the Vaqueros put up a good fight in a pair of losses. Fullerton swept the Vaqueros 25-21, 25-13, 25-16 in the morning and Mt. San Antonio posted a 3-1 win (25-17, 25-22, 17-25, 25-18) in the afternoon.
  • Kat Niksto takes over SBCC women’s volleyball program

    Kat Niksto has been selected as the new women’s volleyball coach at SBCC. She replaces Ed Gover, who retired after an outstanding 28-year career that featured 378 wins and 11 WSC North titles.
